Congress Candidate Prahald Gunjal Criticizes Former MP Birla's Tenure

Kota: Congress candidate Prahald Gunjal interacted with the public in the city on Thursday, criticizing the tenure of former MP Birla before addressing national issues. Gunjal stated, "Before speaking for the nation, Birla ji should first highlight any achievement in his constituency." He pointed out that despite Birla's powerful position as an MP for five years and later as the Lok Sabha Speaker, the people of Hadoti envisioned developments that never materialized.

Gunjal highlighted the unfulfilled dreams of irrigation reaching every field, round-the-clock electricity, and the promise of new industries for employment. He questioned Birla's accountability, stating, "Despite sitting at the top in Parliament, our trust was shattered." Gunjal urged the voters to consider whether Birla deserved their vote again, emphasizing his own commitment to the region's grassroots issues.

Referring to Birla's ten years in office, Gunjal asserted, "If I come back after five years asking for empty blessings again, you will demand an account of my five years of work." He stressed the importance of trust and accountability in public service, promising not to overlook the people's expectations like Birla did. Gunjal concluded by urging the electorate to reconsider their support, stating, "Tell Birla ji that our trust in him was based on the hope that he would advocate for Hadoti in Delhi. But even after ten years, our dreams remain unfulfilled."
