Every MoU is crucial—Regular monitoring and implementation required: Udaipur District Collector

Udaipur,  A review meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of District Collector Namit Mehta at the Mini Conference Hall of the Collectorate to assess the progress of MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, organized last December under the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

General Manager of the District Industries and Commerce Center, Mr. Shailendra Sharma, presented details of the MoUs signed for Udaipur district through a PowerPoint presentation. He informed that a total of 642 MoUs worth ₹75,000 crore were signed for Udaipur district. Among them, 206 MoUs pertain to the tourism sector, making it the highest. Additionally, 95 MoUs are under RIICO and 89 under the Urban Development Department, while the remaining are related to other departments.

So far, 11 MoUs amounting to ₹5,000 crore have been implemented. Further, 44 MoUs have completed all formalities and will be operational soon, while 84 MoUs are currently under process and expected to begin implementation shortly.

Collector Mehta emphasized the need for regular monitoring and expedited implementation of the remaining MoUs. He reiterated that Rising Rajasthan is among the top priorities of the state government, and the Chief Minister himself is personally monitoring the progress. All department officers were directed to coordinate with investors within the next 3 days and ensure measurable progress.

Additionally, Collector Mehta instructed GM DIC Mr. Sharma to personally coordinate and monitor all investment proposals above ₹100 crore with the respective departmental officers, while proposals ranging between ₹10 crore and ₹100 crore should be monitored directly by the district-level officers concerned.

The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Mr. Deependra Singh Rathore, UDA Commissioner Mr. Rahul Jain, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ram Prakash, UDA Secretary Mr. Hemendra Nagar, and other departmental officials.
