Banswara, The sacred grounds of ISCKON Centre, Professor Colony, Subhash Nagar, Banswara, witnessed the city’s first-ever grand celebration of the #JagannathRathYatra on Saturday, led by ISCKON Acharyas Abhay Gaurang Das Prabhu, Achintya Dashrathi Prabhu, and Abhinandan Nimai Prabhu. The divine chariot was accompanied by devotional chants, musical instruments, and a surge of spiritual energy.
The #RathYatra commenced precisely at 4 PM from Azad Chowk, passing through Mahalakshmi Chowk, Bohra Wadi, Nagarwada Chowk, Pipli Chowk, and Gandhi Moorti, culminating at Siddhanath Mahadev near Jawahar Bridge, where Lord Jagannath was offered rest and Maha Prasad.
Children’s Dance Performance Wins Hearts
Students of Prahlad School mesmerized the crowd with a devotional dance under the guidance of Vishwa Atma Das Prabhu and coordinator Himani Pathak, adding a touch of innocence and spiritual fervor.
Divine Abhishek with Fragrant Scents
In the presence of ISCKON leaders from Udaipur, Ahmedabad, and beyond—including Brihad Roopa Prabhuji, Vipin Vilas, and Ujjwal Prabhu—a divine abhishek and aarti was performed using sacred perfumes on the idols of Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra, and Subhadra, adorned with special crowns.
Golden Brooms & Floral Rangolis Across 21 Spots
Under Chandrakanta Vaishnav’s leadership, gopikas welcomed the Lord by sweeping the path with golden brooms, while 21 locations were beautifully decorated with #FloralRangolis and devotees were blessed with chandan tilak and scented powders.
The volunteer team included Dimple, Nikhil, Kishore Pandya, Ajay, Daksh, Kanta, Ratan Kishore Pandya, Odrila Mandal, Shilpa, Akshi, Shabuni Mandal, Minal, Khushi, Anjali, Kripali Bhatt, Shubham, Kalp, Kavya, Hamendra, Jatin, Sunil, Nemish, Pran Nath Nimai Prabhu, and many more who extended selfless #SevaWithDevotion.
Devotees Pulled Chariot with Bhakti
Clad in Gopi attire, numerous women devotees joined the procession and experienced the spiritual bliss of pulling Lord Jagannath’s chariot.
Dance & Kirtan Echoed Through Streets
The devotional kirtans and rhythmic dance with musical instruments were a major attraction throughout the route. Former Minister and MLA Arjun Bamaniya and former Municipal Chairman Rajesh Taylor swept the road at the start of the procession as a mark of humility and devotion.
101 Diyas for Maha Aarti; 251 Plates of Maha Bhog
At various city points, the idols received a warm welcome with 101 oil lamps lit for the Maha Aarti, and 251 thalis of Maha Bhog were offered, making it a spectacular act of #CommunityWorship.
