Geetanjali Hospital Organizes Fifth Screening Camp for Reconstructive Surgery of Leprosy Patients

Geetanjali Hospital organized a screening camp on March 12, 2024, for leprosy patients requiring reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ashutosh Soni, the reconstructive surgeon at Geetanjali Hospital, screened 13 selected patients from Udaipur and Pali districts, out of which 4 were deemed suitable for surgery.

The selected patients have been admitted, and surgeries will be conducted this week. So far, a total of five camps have been organized for this purpose.

It is noteworthy that Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur, Rajasthan, is the only private medical college (medical college) in the state selected by the Indian government for the treatment of these patients. Dr. Ashutosh Soni, a plastic surgeon, and his team provided services during the program. Dr. Suresh Choudhary, Dr. Jitendra Hirani, and Dr. Pankaj Kevaliya, coordinators of the program from Pali, and Mr. Bhuraram Patel, coordinator from Udaipur, were present during the event.
