Basic Life Support Program Organized at Darshan Dental College on National Dentists Day

Udaipur | In commemoration of 'National Dentists Day,' the Department of Pediatrics and Preventive Dentistry at Darshan Dental College and Hospital conducted a two-day program focusing on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Airway Management skills. The program was inaugurated by Trustee B.R. Agrawal, Principal Dr. J.K. Tayaliya, Vice-Principal Dr. Vikas Puniya, and the event coordinator Dr. Ruchi Arora, along with Secretary Dr. Khalid Agwani.*

*Dr. Ruchi Arora, the coordinator and department head, addressed all faculty and students on the theme 'CPR Saves Lives,' emphasizing the importance of having knowledge of Basic Life Support in emergency situations. BLS provides fundamental medical assistance to individuals before reaching the hospital or in situations where medical facilities are not readily available.*

*Guest lectures and demonstrations were conducted by Dr. Veerendra Choudhary (MD Medicine), Dr. Shilpa Sharda (MD, Anesthesia), and Dr. Khalid Agwani (Oral Surgeon) from Pacific Medical College and Hospital. Over 200 participants, including teachers, students, and staff, received training on a demonstration dummy model during the program. More than 210 representatives from various dental colleges in Udaipur participated, including PG students and staff members.*

Certificates of participation were distributed to guests, doctors, and students by Dr. Vikas Puniya, the Principal of the college, expressing gratitude.
