Nimit Mehta Ensures Progress of Key Initiatives from Departments

Bhilwara,  Under the chairmanship of District Collector Nimit Mehta, a weekly review meeting of various departments was organized at the District Collectorate Auditorium on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the progress of flagship initiatives of different departments, the status of the 100-day action plan, pending cases on the contact portal of various departments, and the progress of flagship schemes.

During the review of flagship schemes, the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) provided information on the progress of the Clean Food-Adulteration Campaign. Dr. C.P. Goswami, the CMHO, informed that from January 1, 2024, to May 4, 184 samples were collected for testing, and 422 samples were taken for surveillance. Out of these, 18 samples were found to be substandard or misbranded. He also mentioned that penalties amounting to Rs. 8.7 lakhs were imposed in 28 cases. The District Collector directed the CMHO to continue the campaign against quack doctors practicing without licenses in the district.

Awareness Campaigns to Prevent Seasonal Diseases such as Dengue, Malaria Among the Public

The District Collector instructed all government and non-government medical institutions to have an NOC (No Objection Certificate) for fire safety to ensure safety. He emphasized the need for public awareness campaigns to prevent seasonal diseases like dengue and malaria and directed district councilors, municipal bodies, and PHED officials to take measures such as repairing dry and closed wells and covering them to prevent accidents.

All officials were directed to adopt e-filing processes at the earliest to expedite the clearance of pending files and to ensure timely disposal of cases. 

Ensuring Quality and Timely Disposal of Pending Cases on the Contact Portal

The District Collector reviewed pending cases on the contact portal of various departments, including the Education Department, Health Department, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Panchayati Raj Department, and Urban Local Bodies. He instructed officials to resolve cases at the first, second, and third levels expeditiously and ensure that no case remains pending on the contact portal for more than 30 days. He emphasized the importance of providing satisfactory responses to petitioners. Additionally, he stated that a review of the resolutions made on the contact portal will be conducted, and officials will be held accountable.

Additional District Collector Administration Ratan Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (City) Vandana Khorwal, Sub-Divisional Officer Avhad Ni. Somanath, Additional Director Social Justice and Empowerment Satyapal Jangiḍ, Deputy Director Employment Department Mukesh Gurjar, and other district-level officials were present on the occasion.
