Elderly Nandalal Casts Vote Under the Tin Roof in Remote Village Badla

Bhilwara: In the gram panchayat of Badla, assigned to the parliamentary constituency of Bhilwara's assembly constituency Asind, the home voting team visited the house of 88-year-old Nandalal on Monday to facilitate voting. Expressing pride, Nandalal remarked, "The boat has reached the shore; my vote too has been counted. My vote has contributed to the formation of the government, long live democracy."

Following the Election Commission's directives, the polling team reached the residence of 88-year-old Nandalal in the village of Badla for home voting. Nandalal was found sitting under the tin roof with his grandson. Upon identifying the polling team, his grandson Pintesh informed them that his grandfather is here to cast his vote. Nandalal said, "The wheel is broken; the pot is overturned. The walk is unsteady; many difficulties, but the boat will sail smoothly."

The polling team explained the voting process to Nandalal and with the help of his grandson Pintesh, facilitated his vote. After casting his vote, Nandalal expressed satisfaction, saying, "Today, I have voted without any hassle, with simplicity, ease, and confidentiality at my home, following the guidelines set by the Election Commission. For this, I extend my gratitude to the Election Commission of India, the District Electoral Officer, and all the personnel of the polling team. And with pride and authority, Nandalal concluded, "Vote from home. And today, it's done. The boat has reached the shore. My vote too has been counted. Long live democracy. Let everyone cast their vote, and let everyone celebrate the boat's arrival."
