Divyang Maya Expresses Gratitude After Casting Vote, Thanks District Electoral Officer and Polling Team

Bhilwara : Amidst the democratic fervor of the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, during the parliamentary constituency of Bhilwara, home voting commenced for elderly and differently-abled voters who couldn't visit the polling booths, at the village of Jagpura in the assembly constituency of Asind. Witnessing the team arriving at her doorstep for home voting, Divyang Maya Kumar expressed pride in the Election Commission saying, "I will also vote today; the voting representative has come home."

District Electoral Officer (Collector) Shri Namit Mehta explained that as per the Election Commission's directives, home voting has been initiated to ensure 100% voting for elderly and differently-abled voters who cannot reach the polling booths in the parliamentary constituency of Bhilwara. During this period, the polling team visited the residence of Divyang Maya Kumar in Jagpura and facilitated home voting. After casting her vote, expressing satisfaction, Maya stated that she has been disabled since she was 8 months old. The Election Commission's team for the Lok Sabha elections today visited my house and facilitated my voting without any hassle, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Election Commission, with great simplicity, ease, and confidentiality.

The use of home voting facilities provided by the Election Department for those voters who cannot go to more booths in the district is voting with enthusiasm and satisfaction from home. For this, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the Election Commission of India, the District Electoral Officer, and all the personnel of the polling team formed by them.
