Udaipur, The Udaipur District Under-7 Chess Selection Championship 2025 (Boys and Girls categories), organized by the District Chess Association, Udaipur in collaboration with Shri Chaitanya Techno School, concluded successfully on Sunday.
The closing ceremony was graced by Principal Prashanti Kripa as the Chief Guest, with Academic Dean Ranjeet Singh Champawat and Ayush Chaudhary as Special Guests. District Association President Mrs. Sonal Garg and Chief Arbiter Rohit Lodha were also present on the occasion.
Over 28 young chess enthusiasts from across the district participated in the event, which was conducted over four rounds. In the boys' category, Gatik Vyas secured first place with a perfect score of 4 points, while Priyansh Pagaria claimed the second position with 3 points. In the girls' category, Prisha Kataria emerged victorious with 4 points, followed by Vihana Gokhru, who earned second place with 3 points.
Among the boys, notable performances came from Aryan Sukhlecha, Dhanvin Sharma, Ayansh Chaudhary, Tejas Mishra, Ridhit Hingad, Viraj Darak, Gangesh Purohit, Dhruvil Meghwal, Gaurak Lodha, Neel Ranka, Lihan Kumawat, Rudransh Kawadia, and Divyam Makheja. In the girls' section, commendable efforts were made by Mananya Chaudhary, Trisha Chhanwal, Trisha Sharma, Aradhya Chaplot, Adhira Chaudhary, Lithisha Sharma, Vridhi Walecha, Kimayra Chhabra, Yadhvi Menaria, Ayra Choksi, and Shanaya Agrawal.
District Chess Association Secretary Indra Kumar Prajapat informed that the top two players from each category will now represent Udaipur in the Rajasthan State Under-7 Chess Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Udaipur on May 10 and 11, 2025.
The guests lauded the children’s confidence and sportsmanship, and expressed their gratitude to the parents for their continued support. The event was efficiently conducted by the team of the District Chess Association and the panel of arbiters, led by Chief Arbiter Mr. Rohit Lodha.
The District Chess Association, Udaipur, extended congratulations to all participants and best wishes to the selected players for the upcoming state-level competition.
