Udaipur – A blood donation camp was organized on Thursday by the Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Rajasthan State, Udaipur District Unit at Pacific University, Debari, under the joint collaboration with Pacific College of Teacher Education. The event was held as part of the five-day Tejas Utsav marking World Thalassemia Day and in celebration of the upcoming birthday (May 11) of Madan Dilawar, Rajasthan's Education Minister and State President of Hindustan Scouts.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from BSTC trainee teachers of Pacific Teachers College, many of whom donated blood for the first time. A total of 20 units of blood were donated, including 14 first-time donors from among the BSTC trainees. Notably, Uday Singh Gurjar, Joint Secretary of the Udaipur District Scouts and teacher at Maharaj Senior Secondary School, Tarawat, donated blood for the 11th time.
The blood collection was conducted by the PMCH Blood Bank team under the supervision of Anil Sahdev and Rajesh Tiwari. Donors underwent proper health screening, including blood pressure and hemoglobin tests, to ensure they were fit for donation.

Addressing the gathering, Narendra Odich emphasized the critical need for blood donors in the current national scenario. “Just as our soldiers stand at the border to protect the nation, we must support them by donating blood. Our motto, ‘Nara Seva, Narayan Seva’ (Service to humanity is service to God), must be upheld through actions,” he said.
