Udaipur — Bharat Vikas Parishad Subhash Branch celebrated its Diwali Milan at the auditorium of Tulsi Niketan School with an inspiring message of cleanliness, water conservation, and social harmony. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by devotional songs by Mrs. Manju Sanadhya and Mrs. Shyamji Matwal. The national song “Hum Karein Rashtra Aaradhan” was recited collectively under the guidance of Dr. P.C. Jain.

Branch Secretary Shobha Lal Dashora presented a detailed report of the activities conducted throughout the year and appealed to all members for continued cooperation. Finance Secretary Nirbhay Babel and Provincial Coordinator Rishabh Jain also addressed the audience. Rishabh Jain highlighted the Panch Pran—social harmony, family enlightenment, Swadeshi practices, civic duty, and environmental protection.
Living legend and environmental crusader Dr. P.C. Jain, affectionately known as “Jal Guru,” delivered a deeply motivational address on the importance of conserving water and maintaining ecological balance. He urged everyone to treat water as a sacred resource and shared how collective community action can revive the declining groundwater table. Dr. Jain’s guidance and personal initiatives have made Dungarpur Municipality a national model in water conservation, where citizens are financially supported for rainwater harvesting and sustainable water use. His words drew heartfelt applause and renewed commitment among members to adopt water-saving practices in everyday life.
Chief Guest K.K. Gupta, Brand Ambassador for Cleanliness, complemented Dr. Jain’s message by urging citizens to extend Diwali cleaning beyond their homes to streets and public spaces. He emphasized that true cleanliness prevents diseases such as malaria, dengue, and typhoid, improving both public health and quality of life.
The event also honored Mrs. Sarla Banthia and Mr. Sushil Banthia for their financial contribution to the Regional Women’s Conference. Women participants of the play “Jal Sanchay,” directed by Dr. P.C. Jain, were felicitated for spreading awareness on rainwater harvesting through performing arts. Newly inducted members Mr. Kamlesh Pokarna and Advocate Mrs. Shweta Pokarna were warmly welcomed.
The celebration was presided over by Senior Vice Presidents Dr. Mrs. Manju Jain and Mr. Bhajanlal Goyal, while the program was conducted in an engaging manner by Mr. Bhupesh Khamesra.
