Udaipur | In a heartwarming initiative that celebrates unity and traditional values, the Women’s Wing of Jain Jagriti Center will honor joint families where three generations—grandmother-in-law, mother-in-law, and daughter-in-law—live together harmoniously under one roof. The event, titled the Joint Family Felicitation Ceremony, will be held on 20th July at Ambience Banquet Hall, 100 Feet Road, Shobhagpura, as part of the Jainam-14 Exhibition.

Highlighting the importance of strong family bonds amid increasing generational divides, the Center’s founder Pinky Mandawat emphasized that even in today’s times, many Jain families continue to uphold the values of unity, with shared kitchens and emotional closeness across generations. “These families have preserved and passed on cultural and moral values, and it is time we recognize them,” she said.

At a meeting held on Monday at Mahavir Bhawan, Bhupalpura, the organizing committee finalized plans for the special ceremony, deciding to honor 100 joint families. Those interested in nominating their families for the felicitation may contact Rekha Hadpawat, Vandana Jain, Nisha Jain, or Mamta Jain.

Suman Lundia, convenor of Jainam, stated that the Jainam-14 Fair is scheduled just before Raksha Bandhan each year to promote festive shopping. This year, over 80 stalls from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh will showcase women's products.

Sushila Mehta added that the exhibition will feature stalls offering home décor, cosmetics, sarees, suits, traditional rakhis, handbags, decorative items, women’s apparel, and jewelry. The exhibition will begin on 18th July, and a bumper housie, a favorite among women, will be held on 19th July.

The meeting was attended by President Kusum Bhansali, General Secretary Bina Maru, and advisors Pranita Talesra, Kavita Bohra, Seema Bhandari, Kusum Jain, and Suman Jain.
