Youth Researchers Express Concern Over Deteriorating Condition of Udaipur Lakes

A wave of concern has swept through young researchers nationwide as they witness the declining state of Udaipur's lakes, shores, and ghats. These diligent students, delving into environmental and developmental studies, are actively engaged under the umbrella of Students for Development (SFD).

In a dialogue facilitated by Rahul Gaur, the national head of SFD, the urgent need for the youth to assume a proactive role in conserving and revitalizing all water bodies, including lakes and ponds, was underscored.

Under the leadership of Mayur Jhaveri, the national coordinator of SFD, representatives and researchers from Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan emphasized the necessity of aligning both natural and societal perspectives in the development of lakes, rivers, and ponds.

Contributions from Dr. Anil Mehta, Tej Shankar Paliwal, Nand Kishor Sharma, Kushal Raval, Pallavi Datta, Drupad Singh, and Ramesh Chandra Rajput further enriched the discourse. Preceding the dialogue, volunteers diligently cleaned up garbage and debris, advancing the collective effort to mitigate litter and pollution.
