Kota, The Rajkiya Sarvajanik Mandal Pustakalaya, Kota reverberated with patriotic fervor as a grand lecture series was organized to mark the birth anniversary of the mighty warrior Maharana Pratap. The event witnessed the presence of eminent speakers and literature enthusiasts paying rich tributes to the embodiment of valour and pride — Maharana Pratap.
The session was graced by chief guest Jagdish Soni ‘Jaljala’, State President, Hindi Sahitya Bharati, whose powerful poetic lines echoed the spirit of heroism:
“जिस पौरुष की प्रबल कहानी सारी धरती गाती है,
उसका वंदन करके मेरी कलम धन्य हो जाती है।”
Presiding over the event, Prashant Tehlani, Treasurer of Hindi Sahitya Bharati, Kota unit, eloquently described Pratap as:
“शक्ति का वह स्त्रोत अनूठा स्वयं सूर्य का ताप था,
मरु माटी का पूत हमारा वो राणा प्रताप था।”
The event also featured Lokesh Mridul as the special guest, who saluted the unmatched courage of Maharana Pratap in poetic form:
“अपने प्रताप के प्रताप से धरा भी धन्य,
ये प्रताप मेरे इस देश की सुगन्ध है।”
Ramesh Chauhan, retired administrative officer, Education Department, Kota, participated as the guest of honour, emphasizing that inner strength and determination are the greatest weapons in any circumstance.
Special invitees included Bigul Jain, retired Deputy Chief Engineer, Thermal Project, Rabindra Vishnoi, author of Manthan, and Chandrashekhar Singh, each sharing inspiring thoughts on courage, resilience, and patriotism.
In the inaugural address, Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava stressed the relevance of Maharana Pratap’s life for today’s youth:
“Maharana Pratap taught us that no wealth is greater than self-respect. Let’s pledge—our heads may never bow, and our resolve must never pause.”
The program was coordinated by Ramniwas Dhakad, Advisor, with event management by Rohit Nama. The event was beautifully conducted by Dr. Shashi Jain, the convener.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries:
“जो लक्ष्य के लिए जीता है,
इतिहास उसी का बनता है।”
