BTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Akhil Ranjan Garg Extends Courtesy Call to Governor, Speaker, and Deputy CM; Invites All to University’s 3rd Convocation Ceremony

Jaipur – The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Bikaner Technical University (BTU), Prof. Akhil Ranjan Garg, paid a courtesy visit today in Jaipur to Hon’ble Governor Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Hon’ble Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Shri Vasudev Devnani, and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa.

According to BTU Public Relations Officer Vikram Rathore, Prof. Garg greeted all dignitaries with floral bouquets and personally extended an invitation to the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of BTU scheduled on June 2, 2025.


The Convocation will be held under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Governor and in the presence of Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Higher & Technical Education, and Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Law and Justice. Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani will deliver the Convocation Address.

This marked Prof. Garg’s first official courtesy visit following his appointment as Vice-Chancellor. On the occasion, he expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and shared his vision and priorities for the university’s future development.

During the meeting, Prof. Garg presented an overview of BTU’s initiatives, stating that the university, established by the Government of Rajasthan with a vision of public welfare, has built a rich legacy of technical education and academic excellence. BTU is committed to providing accessible and high-quality technical education to the youth of Western Rajasthan, especially in the arid (desert) regions.

He further highlighted the university’s dedication to teaching, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and continuing education, all rooted in human values and national development goals. Prof. Garg emphasized that BTU has earned a nationwide reputation for its academic programs, quality curriculum, and contributions to technical education.
