Mumbai, August 29, 2024 – Just a week ago, the grand festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with immense enthusiasm across the country. This month, being the sacred period of Lord Krishna's birth, has witnessed a series of devotional events, filling devotees with joy and spiritual fervor. On the auspicious occasion of Lord Krishna's birth, devotees fasted, engaged in bhajans and kirtans, and distributed various sweets to celebrate Janmashtami with great zeal.
The Gopi Krishna Tradition is an event that evokes deep feelings of love, reverence, and joy in the hearts of devotees. This unique and extraordinary ceremony, centered on devotion to Lord Krishna, draws followers from across the world who come specifically to participate. In 2024, the event was held at the ISKCON Auditorium in Juhu, Mumbai, on the evening of August 29, starting at 6 PM and continuing late into the night. The ceremony featured various forms of bhajans, kirtans, theatrical performances, and different dance styles.
