Under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat, Khushhaal Bharat Abhiyan” launched by the Government of Rajasthan, the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute, Udaipur, successfully organized a series of awareness programs from October 27 to 31, 2025.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness among students about the ill effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthier and happier society.
As part of the campaign, all undergraduate and postgraduate students took an oath to “say no to drugs and discourage others from substance use.” Anti-drug educational posters were displayed across the campus to create awareness among the students.
A silent rally was also held within the college premises, where students conveyed the message of a drug-free life through placards and slogans. Additionally, expert lectures were organized to educate students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and methods to overcome it, inspiring them to adopt a positive outlook toward a healthy lifestyle.
The initiative of the Department of Public Health Dentistry was widely appreciated. Principal Dr. Balaji Manohar encouraged students to take active participation in building a drug-free society. Faculty members including Dr. Mridula Tak, Dr. Saurabh Singh, Dr. Shruti Sharma, Dr. Tarun Mali, and Nitin Goswami played a significant role in conducting the campaign activities.
