### Role of Education for Developed India 2047: National Seminar Organised

Udaipur,  A one-day national seminar on the theme “Role of Education – Developed India 2047” was organised on Saturday at the IT Auditorium, Pratapnagar, by the Faculty of Education under Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth’s Shramjeevi College.

The seminar brought together distinguished educationists and scholars from across seven Indian states, attracting the participation of 225 delegates in both offline and online formats.

Chancellor Bhanwar Lal Gurjar, presiding over the seminar, stressed that in order to realise the vision of a developed India by 2047, it is crucial to provide proper direction to today’s youth. “Education forms the foundation of any nation’s comprehensive development,” he said, “but it must go beyond institutions and reach society through public awareness.”

The Chancellor further highlighted that education must not be confined to degrees; it should foster character-building, social consciousness, and intellectual engagement. “Only when education reaches the masses in a meaningful and inclusive way,” he stated, “can we envision a balanced, empowered, and developed India.”

Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, graced the seminar as the chief guest. He stated that education is not merely about acquiring knowledge but is a vital bridge between culture and technology. “Skill-based knowledge, smart agriculture, and cultural integration are essential for building a developed India,” he remarked.

Prof. Karnataka paid tribute to Vidyapeeth’s visionary founder Janubhai, stating, “True development is not possible until education reaches the last individual.” He also announced an upcoming MoU between MPUAT and Rajasthan Vidyapeeth in November, aiming to enhance educational collaboration for youth empowerment.

Emphasizing the preservation of the five natural elements—earth, water, fire, air, and sky—he stated that holistic development rests on environmental harmony and cultural values.

He also reiterated the need to revive India’s ancient knowledge traditions and reduce the urban-rural divide. "The concept of a secure nation is central to building a developed nation. This is not a political agenda but a responsibility of every citizen,” Prof. Sarangdevot said.

In the inaugural address, he invoked the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Dattopant Thengadi, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, stating that their human-centric philosophies provide global guidance in today’s turbulent times.

The event also saw the launch of the book Fisheries Administrative Q&A, authored by Manohar Lal Arora and Dr. Darshna Dave.
