World Dance Day - 2024

 

Bhilwara - Spearheaded by SPIC Make (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Cultural Amongst Youth) and in collaboration with the district administration and education department, a celebration was organized under the heritage 2024 initiative. The event featured the presentation of renowned Bharatanatyam dancer Vidushi Padmini Upadhyay. The program commenced at 8 a.m. at Swami Vivekananda Government Model School, Taswaria, with floral tributes to the earth and introduction to the beauty of Bharat Mata. Following this, the Ganapati Vandana, "Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha," brought to life various forms of Lord Ganesha. 

Proceeding with the Dashavatara, the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, the narrative unfolded through Bharatanatyam, captivating the audience with stories of Matsya, Narasimha, Kurma, Vamana, Rama, Balarama, Parashurama, Varaha, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki avatars.

At the conclusion of the program, both school principals, Manisha Garg and Tulsiram Ji, expressed their gratitude. Approximately 1200 students from both schools were in attendance.

Program coordinator Anu Prajapati announced that tomorrow, on May 1, 2024, Vidushi Padmini Upadhyay's first presentation would take place at Swami Vivekananda Government Model School, Bagore (Model), at 8 a.m., followed by the second presentation at 11 a.m. at Swami Vivekananda Central School, Hurda.
