On Labor Day, Workers Organize Rally, Protest"

Bhilwara - Under the leadership of Omprakash Devani, the regional representative of the Indian Trade Union Congress (INTUC), workers paid tribute to all the martyrs and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector in front of the Mukherjee Park regarding the burning issues of the workers. The memorandum was addressed to the President through the District Collector, highlighting several demands, including the withdrawal of laws being made by the Central Government in the name of labor reforms, controlling inflation, repealing anti-farmer laws, re-employment of workers laid off during the COVID era, implementing a minimum wage of Rs. 26,000/-, abolishing the contract system, implementing social security with a pension of Rs. 10,000, regularizing Mid-Day Meal workers, Anganwadi workers, initiating the Shubh Shakti scheme, and ensuring the regular provision of facilities to construction workers, among others.

During the meeting at Mukherjee Park, Omprakash Sharma, along with his colleagues, paid homage to the martyred workers after the struggle in Sikango. Medical representatives were also present, including Secretary Hemant Payak and Rameshwar Jat, who provided information about the ongoing anti-worker activities in the country. Textile workers' union president Sonu Sharma, along with Ganesh Gahlot, Narendra Maratha, Saddham, Karan Singh, Kuldeep Sukhwal, Sonu Mali, Ratan Banjara, Jitendra Sharma, Dinesh Jha, Lokesh Mahawar, Gajendra, expressed their anger over the ongoing anti-labor activities and the issue of 12-hour work shifts in Bhilwara. Kamdhenu workers Manju Acharya, Bhavri Vishnoi, Nirmala Vishnoi, Deu, Vimala Vishnoi, Indradevi Vaishnav, Sagar Vaishnav, Mamta Yadav, Radha Koli also protested against discrimination against construction workers and demanded the removal of barriers to assistance and the cessation of quotas. The workers' leaders of the Jal Jeevan Yojana, Bhairulal Kharol, Champalal Purbia, Nanuram Menaria, Bhagwan Lal, Narayan Lal, Ramesh, also demanded regular updates on government drinking water schemes for the workers.

Afterward, sweets were distributed to all workers on Labor Day, and expressing their happiness, they rallied from Mukherjee Park to the District Collector's office, where a memorandum was submitted to the President.
