Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana 1 lakh people benefited On 1st Anniversary of Modi govt, Kota MP Om Birla commences campaign to raise Insurance premium amount under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (accident insurance) to provide benefit of the scheme to around 1 lakh people of Kota parliamentary constituency


KOTA. Taking initiative of providing benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) to over 1 lakh people in his parliamentary constituency of Kota, Member of Parliament, Om Birla today launched campaign for raising Insurance premium amount through public contribution for the poor people under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (Accident Insurance) scheme.

The campaign aims at providing benefit of the PMSBY scheme to atleast 10000 people in each assembly constituency under Kota parliamentary constituency.

As Prime Minister, Narendra Modi lead union govnerment is celebrating completion of its first year in office, Birla has taken initiative of launching mega campaign to provide free accident insurance facility to 1 lakh people under PMSBY scheme from today. The inaugural program was held at the Instrumentation Limited auditorium in Kota today. Birla along with Mayor, Kota, Mahesh Vijayvargiya, BJP MLA, Kota South, Sandeep Sharma, BJP MLA from Sangod, Kota, Heeralal Nagar and District Rural BJP President, Kota, Jaiveer Singh Amritkua handed over the Insurance policy bond under PMSBY Scheme to 10 chosen persons to extend free accident policy to them. The premium amount under PMSBY is Rs 12 per annum which offers accident insurance worth Rs 2 lakh to the beneficiary and Birla would generate such premium for the people through public contribution which would make PMSBY scheme free for the beneficiaries. Om Birla said that Congress governments at the center have pushed the country 60 years back and Congress government claimed of eliminating poverty but still there are no end to the woes of poor in the country. Congress has also facilitated corruption and scams whereas Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has tried to bring poor into mainstream through launching social security schemes like PMSBY. “PM Modi envisaged dream of providing accidental insurance to the poor families and PMSBY has accomplished such dream of Prime Minister”, he said. Birla called upon the public representatives to extend the benefit of Modi governments' flagship social security schemes to more and more poor people. He said that a large number of people are taking benefit of the Jan Dhan Yojana but still a large section is not able to take benefit of the scheme so everyone should make efforts to ensure reach of maximum people to such scheme. PMSBY would provide financial support in the form of insurance claim worth Rs 2 lakh to the families in times of accident.
Birla added that large number of women are involved in labour work in the country so efforts would be done to identify such women and link them with self employment.
While speaking on the occasion, Birla said that the campaign aims to benefit around 10000 persons in each of the assembly constituency falling in his parliamentary constituency. He said that the premium amount for the PMSBY scheme for 1 lakh people would be collected through public contribution.


MLA, Heeralal Nagar said that only proficient persons seeks insurance benefits while the poor struggle for such benefits so Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has tried to uplift poor through launching such social security scheme. MLA, Kota South, Sandeep Sharma said that MP Kota Om Birla has done a commendable job to raise Rs 12 per annum per person to provide benefit of PMSBY scheme to the poor people. Mayor, Kota, Mahesh Vijayvargiya said that efforts would be done to link more and more people with the PMSBY.
Central Bank of India, Regional Manager, Chandrakant Sharma said that PM Modi has formulated the scheme to provide direct benefit of the government schemes to the people through opening bank accounts. Corporators of Kota Municipal Corporation (KMC), Gopal Ram Manda, Mamta Kanwar, Mahesh Gautam Lalli, Rekha Lakhera, Brajmohan Gaur, Mahesh Gautam and other BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.

9600 FORMS COLLECTED

Under the campaign for linking people with the PMSBY scheme, total 9600 forms have been filled by organizing around one-and-a-half dozen camps in Kota South assembly constituency. Such forms have been sent to the concerned banks and several people filled the forms at the IL Auditorium today.
