Udaipur to Host Week-Long Chess Championship from May 18–25

Udaipur – A grand week of chess is set to unfold in Udaipur from May 18 to May 25, with district and state-level chess championships organized for boys and girls. These tournaments are being conducted by the Udaipur District Chess Association in collaboration with Shri Chaitanya Techno School, Mansarovar, Udaipur, in the memory of Late Lokesh Choudhary, Chandraprakash Dagliya, Usha Dagliya, and Bhanwarlal Maru.

The event will kick off on Sunday, May 18, with the Udaipur District Under-9 Chess Tournament (Open & Girls categories). All participants will receive consolation prizes.

Following this, the Rajasthan State Under-7 Chess Championship will be held on May 20 and 21, where the top 20 players will receive trophies and all participants will get consolation prizes. The last date to register is midnight on May 18.

The Rajasthan State Under-9 Chess Championship will take place on May 22 and 23, offering ₹11,000 in cash prizes, 20 trophies, and consolation prizes for all. The registration deadline is midnight on May 20.

The final event will be the Rajasthan State Under-11 Chess Championship on May 24 and 25, featuring ₹15,000 in cash prizes, 26 trophies, and consolation prizes. Registration closes midnight on May 22.

These competitions aim to select top players from each category (boys & girls) at the district and state levels to represent Rajasthan in upcoming national chess tournaments.

The championship team includes Chief Arbiter Rohit Lodha, Tournament Director Sonal Garg, and Organizing Secretary Indra Kumar Prajapat. Players can submit their entries via LiveChess.in.
