Udaipur – “Without empathy, personality cannot develop. Emotions inspire action,” said Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal on the first day of the three-day event ‘Apno Se Apni Baat’ held at the institute. He emphasized that those with strong willpower and compassion are worthy of respect and can even achieve the impossible.
The event was attended by differently-abled individuals and their families from across India, who had come for free surgeries and artificial limb fittings for congenital disabilities and polio. Agarwal noted that serving the needy and disabled is crucial for personal development. “Helping the distressed not only brings relief to them but also eases one’s own life challenges,” he said, adding that ancient scriptures have always upheld ‘daan’ (charity) as a noble deed. He encouraged people to devote one-tenth of their income to humanitarian service, stating that those who make service a habit will find it easier to achieve success.
During the program, Rohit Yadav from Bihar shared his story of depression after losing a leg in an accident, and how receiving an artificial limb at Narayan Seva Sansthan gave him a new lease on life. Similarly, Surendra Meena from Salumber, who lost an arm due to electrocution, said he never lost self-confidence, emphasizing that despair is equivalent to death. Other attendees including Nirmal Kumar (Jharkhand), S. Beer Singh and Dharmendra (Karauli), and Akhil Verma (Bharatpur) also shared their journeys.
Prashant Agarwal provided motivational guidance to all, encouraging them to always believe that nothing is impossible, no matter how challenging the situation.
