 
                        Udaipur: A farmers’ seminar was organized jointly by Vidya Bhawan Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Bikaner. The event was graced by Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar, Director, CSWRI, Avikanagar, as the Chief Guest.
Addressing farmers from the villages of Bada Bhilwada and Kot in the Phalasiya tehsil of Udaipur district, Dr. Tomar encouraged them to adopt integrated farming practices by combining agriculture with the rearing of quality breeds of sheep, goats, and poultry. He highlighted the importance of selecting good genetic breeds for improving livestock productivity and profitability. He also informed that the institute would soon organize exposure visits for farmers across seven states, including to the CSWRI headquarters, to help them learn and adopt modern livestock management techniques.
Dr. Ashish Chopra, Principal Scientist, CSWRI, Bikaner, shared insights about the Tribal Sub-Project, while Dr. S.S. Dangi, Senior Scientist, CSWRI, Avikanagar, spoke about housing and feeding management for sheep and goats. Dr. P.C. Bhatnagar, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, discussed various programs being conducted by the centre for livestock improvement and genetic upgradation.
Under the Tribal Sub-Plan, CSWRI, Bikaner, provided assistance to local farmers — including shed materials for 50 livestock rearers, sprayer machines, water campers, umbrellas, torches, and bottles to 100 farmers.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Ashish Chopra, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Jain.
Among those present were Hasmukh Kumar, Sanjay Dhakad, Dr. Bhagwat Singh, Dr. Jeevan Ram Jat, Dr. Manpreet Singh, Dr. Seema Dangi, Achal Samdani, Dhirendra Vyas, and Mahipal Singh, along with over 120 farmers and farm women from nearby villages.
