Completion of Painting Camp on "Samagra Bharat

 The five-day painting camp organized by the Western Regional Cultural Centre concluded on Wednesday at Shilpgram, Udaipur. The closing ceremony was attended by the chief guest, Prof. Sunita Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, and special guest, Prof. Bhagwati Prasad Sharma, President of the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Committee.

Furkan Khan, Director of the Western Regional Cultural Centre, informed that the camp was held under the theme "Samagra Bharat – Ek Bharat" (Social Harmony, Environment, and Folk & Tribal Culture Art) and featured 15 artists from across the country. Dr. Madan Singh Rathore, the camp coordinator, oversaw the event, which focused on creating beautiful paintings reflecting the theme.

The ceremony began with the welcome of guests by the Centre’s Assistant Director, Durgesh Chandwani, and Program Executive Hemant Mehta, who presented them with floral bouquets. Dr. Madan Singh Rathore shared details about the camp’s activities, followed by the participants sharing their experiences. One of the standout works was by Sunil Vishwakarma from Varanasi, who created a traditional Ram Leela painting of Lord Ram, which was widely appreciated.

In her address, Prof. Sunita Mishra praised the beautiful paintings created by the artists on canvas, highlighting the remarkable depiction of tribal culture. She also lauded the unique tribal artwork that was part of the exhibition.

An exhibition of the paintings created during the camp was held, which was attended by students from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Seth Binani Das College in Nathdwara, and art enthusiasts from Udaipur. All visitors admired the artworks and appreciated the Centre's efforts in organizing such an event.

At the end of the event, certificates were distributed to all the artists. The event was attended by officials and staff of the Centre.

Artists who participated in the camp included Bandana Kumari and Mayank Shyam from Bhopal, Dakshita Ben Bhoi and Smit Kumar Dinesh Bhai Patel from Dang, Desing Rathwa from Vadodara, Dilip Kumar Damor from Udaipur, Dr. Renu Bariwal from Gurgaon, Dr. Lakshman Prasad from Delhi, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Meghwal from Allahabad, Krishna Kumar from Jaipur, Krishna Chandu Kadu from Palghar, Mahesh Kumar Kumawat from Pindwara, Padma Shri Shanti Devi from Madhubani, Prem Avle from Pune, and Sunil Kumar Vishwakarma from Varanasi.
