The Jain Social Group International Mewar-Marwar Region, Udaipur, is organizing a 12-day religious pilgrimage to Shikharji, starting from October 13 at Udaipur Railway Station. During a press conference, Region Chairman Anil Nahar shared that 1151 pilgrims will travel in 20 coaches. The enthusiasm within the Jain community is evident, with over 400 additional passengers on the waiting list.
Among the pilgrims, 108 individuals, including differently-abled and widowed passengers, who are financially unable to afford the trip, will be able to travel free or at a reduced fare. Both AC and non-AC coaches will be provided based on demand. Out of the 20 coaches, one will serve as a pantry, another for security, and one for power generation.
The travel arrangements will be managed by Mumbai-based Kumar & Company, and catering will be handled by renowned Surat caterers Jabbar Bhai Paliwal. Chairman-Elect Arun Mandot added that the pilgrimage will visit various sacred sites, including Hastinapur, Ayodhya, Kashi, Pavapuri, Rajgir, and finally reaching Shikharji. The journey will commence on October 13 and conclude on October 24, returning to Udaipur.
