Ambassadors and Diplomats Dance to Rajasthani Tunes

**New Delhi:** On Monday evening, Rajasthani Academy, an organization dedicated to promoting Rajasthani culture in the Delhi NCR for the past 33 years, celebrated Teej 2024 with great enthusiasm at Bikanervala, Gurugram. The institution, founded by the late Ramniwas Lakhotia, organizes various programs annually in Delhi. This Teej event was a vibrant display of Rajasthani heritage.

The celebration featured several attractions, including professional Rajasthani dance performances by artists from various institutions, mehndi (henna), gajra (flower garlands), traditional Teej swings, and gift displays. The atmosphere was filled with Rajasthani music, dance, and delectable chaat offered by Bikanervala's warm hospitality, which brought everyone together in the festive spirit. Navratan Agarwal of Bikanervala received much appreciation for hosting the event at Bikanervala, Sector 29, Gurugram, and for his gracious hospitality.

The event was graced by distinguished guests such as the ambassadors of Mauritius and Venezuela, the wife of the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, diplomats from Ghana and Niger, and the Consul General of the Union of Comoros. All the dignitaries celebrated by dancing to Rajasthani music. Rajya Sabha MP and former State Minister Chunni Lal Garasia from Udaipur added to the event's charm with his presence.

Dr. Gaurav Gupta, President of Rajasthani Academy, welcomed the guests and announced the upcoming 32nd Annual Rajasthani Folk Dance Competition (Inter-School) and the Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award of INR 1 lakh to be held at Kamani Auditorium on October 8, 2024.

The event was excellently hosted by the academy's secretary, Suman Maheshwari, who brought smiles to everyone's faces with her sweet poems.

The distinguished guests and members honored at the event included Navratan Agarwal, CA Sandeep Goyal, Rajiv Mittal, Lion Kapil Khandelwal, P.S. Dhingra, Ramavatar Kila, G.N. Bhatt, and Prashant Sharma.

Performers such as Malika Beg and her team All That Jazz, students from Poonam Mudra Kathak Studio, artists Namita, Devansh, and Abhishek Khandelwal captivated everyone with various musical and dance performances.

Richa Mehta showcased Rajasthani culture through her curation of a Rajasthani fashion walk, giving women of all ages the opportunity to walk the ramp and display the vibrant Rajasthani culture.

This Teej celebration was a fun-filled event based on Rajasthan's traditions, bringing the community together to joyfully and enthusiastically celebrate Rajasthani culture.
