Street Play Organized at Geetanjali Medical College on World No Tobacco Day

Udaipur – On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, a street play was organized by the Community Medicine Department of Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital to spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and methods of prevention.

Through this impactful street play, intern students conveyed a powerful message – tobacco consumption leads to nearly 8 million deaths annually. The students also explained various tobacco prevention strategies and intervention methods in simple language for public understanding.

Dean Dr. Sangeeta Gupta graced the occasion with her esteemed presence, enhancing the significance of the event.

Head of the Community Medicine Department, Prof. Dr. Mukul Dixit, highlighted the theme of this year –
"Bright Products, Dark Intentions", referring to the deceptive marketing of tobacco products.

Also present on the occasion were Dr. Hemlata Mittal, Dr. Medha Mathur, Dr. Jyoti Jain, Dr. Bhagraj Choudhary (Nodal Officer, TCC), Dr. Jitendra Hirani, Dr. Vichitra, and Dr. Dilshano from the department.
