Another first: Bhuvan Bam becomes first Indian YouTuber to receive the coveted ‘Diamond Play Button’

Mumbai : Bhuvan Bam, India’s most loved Indian YouTuber, has received the highly coveted ‘Diamond Play Button’ recognition from YouTube India on Thursday for being the first to cross 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel ‘BB Ki Vines’. He is the only Indian YouTuber who has received the highly recognized memento.
Bhuvan took to Instagram on Thursday to thank his subscriber base for helping him reach a new milestone as one of the most recognized YouTube influencers in the country, and said he owed his success to his family and followers.

This development comes at the heel of a campaign Bhuvan Bam launched earlier this month with YouTube, along with popular personalities like Priyanka Chopra, PrajaktaKoli and VidyaVox. The campaign focuses on driving awareness for the cause of girl child education, running a series of four ads, espousing the ideology ‘Educate a girl, educate a family.’ It is a project the YouTuber feels very passionate about, and reaches out to his massive subscriber base to drive awareness of the fact that there still exists the problem of lack of access to quality education for adolescent girls, and the focus should be on encouraging families to encourage young girls in the country.
