Meeting Organized at Udyog Bhawan to review the preparations for Rajasthan International Expo

Jodhpur : A review meeting was organized at Udyog Bhawan on Friday to review the preparations for the Rajasthan International Expo organized by the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) in collaboration with the Industries Department on March 20-22 in Jodhpur. The Review Meeting, chaired by Chairman REPC and RAJSICO Mr. Rajeev Arora, was also attended by the Industries & Commerce Commissioner, Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Mahendra Kumar Parakh, and CEO, REPC, Mr. PR Sharma. REPC Vice Chairman, Shri Mahavir Prasad Sharma; Mrs. Leela Bordia; Mr. Bharat Dinesh, and Mr. Shailesh Chaise attended the meeting through video conferencing.

The Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) and RAJSICO Chairman, Mr. Rajeev Arora expressed satisfaction that due to the combined efforts of various trade associations and concerned authorities, tremendous interest is being seen for participation in the Rajasthan International Expo. This expo will prominently place the Jodhpur and Trade Facilitation Center located at Boronada on the world map. More than 300 stalls have been booked so far for the expo. He informed a large number of buying houses from all over India are participating in the expo. In addition, more than 200 importers from 16 countries will actively participate in this expo. Additionally, ambassadors from 10 countries have confirmed to attend the expo.

Industries and Commerce Commissioner, Mr. Mahendra Kumar Parakh informed that March 14 is the last date for booking stalls for the expo. He informed that the exporters selected by the Export Award Committee would be confered during the inaugural session of the expo. Industries and Commerce Commissioner further informed that the expo will be opened for the general public of Jodhpur on the last day, March 22. At the expo, unique products of the state will be showcased at the one place and artisans of Jodhpur's handicraft sector will get an opportunity for networking.

The meeting ended with the information that on Monday, March 13, a high-level delegation would visit Jodhpur for on-site review of the expo preparations.
About Rajasthan International Expo:
To promote exports in the state's handicrafts, wooden and iron furniture, steel utensils, agrifood products, stone articles, and engineering goods, the first edition of Rajasthan International Expo will be held in Jodhpur from March 20 to 22 at the Trade Facilitation Center at Boronada. The 20,000 square meter exhibition area will feature 5 domes with over 300 stalls, showcasing a variety of products, such as handicrafts, furniture, textiles and garments, agri-food, kitchenware and material, engineering goods, ceramics, and more.
