 DMG Udapur :Expedite the collection of due revenues

The State Mines Department's field officers have been directed by the state government to expedite the collection of due revenues. As of March 20, 2023, the department had collected Rs. 6,701 crore in revenue, compared to Rs. 7,002 crore collected by March 20, 2024, indicating an increase. Instructions have been issued to ensure the collection of 100% of the due amount owed to the state government during the current fiscal year.

During a virtual meeting with field officers on Friday, Director Bhagwati Prasad Kalal emphasized the importance of promptly recovering the state government's outstanding dues. He urged all stakeholders, including leaseholders, quarry license holders, and royalty contractors associated with the Mines Department, to expedite the payment of outstanding dues to the state government. Kalal highlighted that the department had surpassed its revenue target by collecting Rs. 7,002 crore 43 lakh by March 20, 2024, exceeding the target by over Rs. 300 crore.

Kalal further stated that the revenue collection efforts would be intensified in the remaining days of the financial year, with a particular focus on achieving 100% revenue recovery for the state government. He emphasized the need to take strict action, if necessary, to recover both current and past dues without any leniency.

In terms of revenue collection performance, the Jaipur Mines and Minerals Department has excelled, achieving 103% of its revenue target. Other top-performing offices include those in Bhilwara, Sojat, Jhunjhunu, Balesar, Bayavar, Tonk, Kotputli, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, and Alwar. Offices falling short of their targets have been instructed to expedite revenue collection efforts and achieve 100% of the set target by March 31.

During the virtual meeting, technical assistant director Devendra God provided updates on revenue recovery progress across all offices through the PPDT platform.

Additionally, in the virtual conference, Deputy Director Deepak Tanwar, P.R. Ameta, M.P. Meena, financial advisor Girish Kachhara, as well as SMJ officials Kamleshwar Baregama, Satish Arya, N.K. Shaktawat, Pratap Meena, Bhim Singh, Anil Khamesra, Jay Gurubakhsani, K.C. Goyal, Shyam Kapdi, Manoj Sharma, Jinesh Humad, and SME Sohan Lal Suthar provided detailed insights from their respective areas. The meeting was attended by additional directors, SMJ, MM, and AMJ level officials.
