International Mathematics Day Celebrated at Bhopal Nobles Postgraduate College

Udaipur: The observance of International Mathematics Day serves as a humble tribute to the invaluable contributions of ancient Indian culture and knowledge pioneers. The theme for the year 2024 is 'Playing with Mathematics,' aiming to encourage creativity in every individual by connecting mathematics with various subjects, fields, and ideas. This day, celebrated worldwide as Pi Day (showcasing the value of Pi as 3.14, coinciding with March 14), aims to focus on special events related to mathematics.

Prof. Colonel Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, the University Chairperson, inaugurated the program organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Faculty of Science College, Bhopal Nobles University. Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, the University President, stated that the objective of this day is to encourage, support, and assist international mathematical activities and advancements.

Dean Dr. Prem Singh Rawalot and Co-coordinator Dr. Ritu Tomar were also present at the event. The competition's adjudication panel included Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore, Dr. Vimal Saraswat, and Dr. Sanjay Asthana. In the model competition, Alifiya Kanodwala, Neha Ameta, Rashmi Suthar secured the first position, while Chirag Labana and Neelam Vyas won the third position.

In the same vein, in the poster competition, Sandeep Sharma secured the first position, Vaibhav Panchal secured the second position, and Sana Raja emerged as the third winner. This event was made successful with the full support and cooperation of Captain Dr. Chandrapal Singh Chauhan, Dr. Anil Kumar Menaria, Dr. Ajit Singh Solanki, Dr. Kamini Gaur, Dr. Reena Mehta, and others.
