Successful One-Week FDP on EdTech in the Light of NEP 2020 Concludes

 

Bhilwara, A one-week online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “New Paradigms in Educational Technology: NEP 2020 Perspective” was successfully organized by the Centre for Academic and Administrative Development, Sangam University, Bhilwara, from June 16 to 20, 2025. The program was coordinated by Prof. Preeti Mehta and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 88 educators across various Indian states including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and even from Indonesia.

The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. P.K. Mishra, Director, CPRHE, NIEPA, New Delhi, who emphasized the growing importance of digital learning under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The FDP featured 10 technical sessions over five days, with valuable insights from eminent academicians and experts such as:

Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Vice Chancellor, Sangam University

Dr. Barnali Roy Choudhury, Netaji Subhas Open University

Prof. Jitendra Pandey, Uttarakhand Open University

Mr. Vinod Chandra Sati, EMMRC Jodhpur

Dr. Mythili G. and Dr. Ashish K. Avadhia, IGNOU

Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Sangam University

The sessions covered an array of topics including OERs, MOOCs, SWAYAM, e-content development, video lecture creation, quality assurance, and innovative teaching methodologies, reflecting the academic community’s proactive response to the digital transformation of higher education.

The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Virendra Kaushal, Coordinator (Online Courses), CEC, New Delhi, as the chief guest. Also present on the occasion were Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Prof. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, and Ms. Ranjan Parihar, Joint Secretary, AIU.

Special appreciation was extended to the IT team of Sangam University, whose technical support ensured seamless execution of the online sessions. Gratitude was also expressed to Dr. Seema Kabra, Dr. Nilesh Maheshwari, and Dr. Neha Bhandari for their active contributions.

The FDP has proven to be a significant step toward realizing the vision of digital education as envisaged in NEP 2020, enriching participants with both conceptual clarity and practical knowledge in educational technology.
