Udaipur,  The monthly meeting of the Green People Committee, committed to environmental conservation, was held on Thursday at the Field Club. The meeting, chaired by Rahul Bhatnagar, focused on tree plantation efforts at MPUAT campus and beautification projects in Bhutala village. During the meeting, Bhatnagar provided details about the future action plan, which includes accelerating tree planting initiatives in collaboration with Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT). He mentioned that following prior discussions and agreements in a meeting held at the Vice Chancellor’s office, a draft of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been prepared and will be sent soon to formalize the collaboration. The goal is to undertake tree plantation activities on land available within the university campus to enhance greenery.

The committee also discussed beautification and development works at Bhutala village, including the restoration of ponds and the surrounding hills, and suggested a visit to assess progress. Members proposed that the city’s parks should be made even more beautiful with support from local administration.

During the meeting, the Green People Committee members congratulated Dr. Lalit Joshi, who has been appointed by the Government of India as a National Observer for the Animal Husbandry Mission, and also extended best wishes to the Society’s Secretary, Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma, on his return to Udaipur after a visit to Italy.
