Udaipur, On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, a compelling presentation was delivered at Pacific Nursing College & Institution by District Member of Vyasan Mukt Bharat and Jal Mitra Dr. P.C. Jain, emphasizing that tobacco acts like a silent termite, slowly destroying the human body — often only detected when it’s too late.
Dr. Jain revealed that around 4,000 deaths occur daily in India and 423 in Rajasthan due to tobacco use. His presentation thoroughly explained the harmful effects of different forms of tobacco and also offered simple home remedies and effective tips to help users quit.
Adding to the impact, Dr. Jain staged his self-written short play "Main Tumhe Chhod Sakti Hoon, Tambaku Nahin" (I Can Leave You, But Not Tobacco), through which the dangers of addiction were highlighted. The play featured strong performances by Tushar Jalor, Sanjana Vaishnav, Mallika Damor, Prinisha Jain, Shalu Singh, Himani Malviya, Bhavika Patidar, Anurag Jain, and Rigyaj Pandya.
A song and dance performance themed around de-addiction captivated the audience and reinforced the anti-tobacco message. Students participated in raising anti-tobacco slogans and pledged to stay away from tobacco in all its forms.
Principal Dr. Vijay Singh Rawat, in his address, earnestly appealed to students to maintain a tobacco-free lifestyle and serve as ambassadors of a healthy, addiction-free India.
