Save Water, Increase Awareness: Identifying Substance-Abusing Students

In the presence of teachers and staff, Water Friend Doctor PC Jain demonstrated from morning till evening how to conserve water drop by drop and how to increase water during the monsoon season in the simplest way possible, as implemented in this Vidya Niketan School. This was done so that all teachers could arrange similar systems in their respective schools before the upcoming monsoon season and also teach every student how to save every drop of water.

In the next session of the Anti-Drug Campaign, Doctor PC Jain advised on how to quickly identify substance-abusing students so that their treatment could be initiated before the addiction worsens. He emphasized that such students should be counseled alone about substance abuse, and their treatment should be facilitated to help them become free from addiction. Initial symptoms such as refusal to open the mouth fully, changes in behavior, requesting leave from school, becoming angry over small matters, being mentally absent during studies, and neglecting personal hygiene should be recognized by every teacher.

During the workshop, Narayan Ji Gameti, Deputy Chief of the Narayana Ji Gameti Association, and Om Ji Sukhwal, District Secretary of Udaipur District Vidya Bharati, were also present. The workshop, titled "Physical and Yoga Education Training for 7 Days," was organized by Vidya Bharati Institute, Chittorgarh Region, from May 3rd to May 9th. Shri Mahendra Singh Ji Sisodia and Workshop Parent Officer Shri Rajendra Ji Sharma, Chief of Yoga Subjects for the Rajasthan region, also attended the program. A total of 225 teachers and staff from various districts were present.

They urged all teachers to pledge to actively participate in campaigns to quit substance abuse and in every campaign for water conservation.
