Meeting of Green People Society Concluded*

The Green People Society, committed to bird and environmental conservation in southern Rajasthan, concluded its review meeting at the Aranya Bhavan on Wednesday. During the meeting, the society members pledged to volunteer for the cleanliness and beautification of the famous lakes of Lakesite and other locations and to raise public awareness for the same.

Chaired by Society President and retired IFS officer Rahul Bhatnagar, the meeting discussed the activities of the Green People Society. The annual report of the society was published and it was decided to conduct an audit. Members also discussed preparing expected projects to receive financial support from Habitat Trust and other organizations.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma presented the meeting agenda. He proposed utilizing the approved amount for repairing the damaged building near the Suithara Madada reservoir and completing the pending work in the core area of the Panchayat. During this, committee members discussed preparing environment conservation-related projects with the assistance of Gaurav Dwivedi and urged all members to provide their suggestions in this regard.

During the meeting, various suggestions were provided by M. Yasin Pathan, Veerpal Singh Rana, Suhel Mazboor, Shyam Narayan Dave, Pratap Singh Chundawat, Dr. Lalit Joshi, and Ismail Ali Durga on different topics.
