Udaipur – On Monday, the National President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Dineshji, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a member of the former royal family of Mewar and a direct descendant of Maharana Pratap, at the City Palace, Udaipur.
Dr. Mewar welcomed Dineshji with traditional Mewari hospitality, reflecting the cultural heritage of the region. During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed the long-standing and cordial relations between the Mewar royal family and the VHP, which have been nurtured over several decades.
Both Dineshji and Dr. Mewar fondly recalled that Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar, in 1969, had accepted the position of National President of the VHP, a role he embraced with commitment to national service — a legacy that the region of Mewar continues to uphold even today.
Their dialogue also covered contemporary socio-cultural issues and the glorious history of Mewar, highlighting the shared commitment to preserving heritage and promoting national values.
It is noteworthy that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is an affiliated organization of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
