Awareness Campaign for Lok Sabha General Elections 2024

Video Song Launched in Mayd Language

Udaipur, With the second phase of Lok Sabha general elections scheduled for April 26 in Rajasthan, including Udaipur and several other districts, the Election Commission and district administration are intensifying efforts to increase voter turnout through various means. From voter awareness rallies to administering pledges for voting, and even distributing yellow rice grains as a symbol of voting, various methods are being employed.

In line with this, after relentless efforts for 15 days, Principal Premshankar Salvi of the Government Senior Secondary School, Piparoli, in Mavli tehsil, has prepared a voter awareness video song titled "Jaano Sa, 26 April Ne Jaano Ji...Vote Deva Ne". He has personally written, sung, and composed the song. The song, in the Mayd language, was launched along with its posters on Monday by District Collector and District Election Officer Arvind Poswal and CEO and SWEEP District Coordinator Kirti Rathore at their office.

The lyrics of the song convey messages such as checking voter ID details, downloading the voter helpline app, rising above caste, religion, and gender differences to vote, and emphasizing the importance of democracy and national interest. It also provides information about the voting date, time, and day.

Prior to this, in the 2023 Assembly general elections, Salvi had created a video and song for voter awareness, which gained significant popularity and played a crucial role in voter awareness.

The song was prepared under the direction of:
- Arvind Poswal, District Collector and District Election Officer
- Kirti Rathore, CEO and SWEEP District Coordinator
- Anjum Taher Summa, Additional Chief Executive Officer
- Manasukh Ram Damor, Subdivision Officer and SWEEP Coordinator

- Shailendra P. Khichi, Development Officer and SWEEP Coordinator

- Sindo Ka Pradhanacharya, Principal of Raomavi

The song will resonate in rallies and programs, contributing to voter awareness efforts alongside various activities conducted by the SWEEP team.

Currently, Principal Prem Shankar Salvi is also a member of the SWEEP District Committee, actively engaging in voter awareness through various programs, rallies, oath-taking ceremonies, essay competitions, posters, and mehndi competitions, in addition to this Maydi language song.
