Ajmer, In recognition of his remarkable contributions in the field of statistics, Ramesh Kumar Daima, Statistical Officer at the Rajasthan Revenue Board, Ajmer, was honoured with the prestigious Prof. P.C. Mahalanobis Award by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. The award was conferred during the state-level function held in Jaipur on the occasion of Statistics Day.
The event was organized under the aegis of the Department of Economics and Statistics at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. Officer Daima was recognized for his outstanding work in agricultural statistics at the state level. His timely and accurate execution of essential tasks such as crop production, productivity assessments, crop cutting experiments, commodity-wise planning, and forecasting have been instrumental in supporting both state and central government policies—particularly related to import-export decisions.
Daima’s contributions exemplify the vital role of precise statistical analysis in policymaking and economic planning, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious state honour.
