#### Filmmaker Amol Bhagat Appointed Jury Member for Houston Global Film Festival

Renowned filmmaker and cultural contributor Amol Bhagat has been appointed as a jury member for the prestigious Houston Global Film Festival, organized by the Black Independent Filmmakers Association (BIFA) in the vibrant and diverse city of Houston, Texas (USA). This honor marks yet another milestone in Bhagat’s growing international recognition in the fields of art and culture.

Amol Bhagat, known for his impactful contributions to the Marathi film industry, rose to prominence with his directorial work in films such as Pune to Goa. His expertise in storytelling and cinematic vision has consistently captivated audiences and critics alike, earning him a distinct position in the realm of filmmaking and direction.

Born in Pune and raised in the rural town of Baramati, Bhagat has previously served as a jury member in nearly 61 national and international film festivals. His selection for the Houston Global Film Festival further cements his standing as a key figure in global cinema.

Scheduled to take place from October 2 to 5 in Houston, the four-day festival will feature Bhagat on panel discussions, where he will share his insights on cultural exchange, independent art, and global excellence. He will also participate in recognizing and honoring individuals from the filmmaking community for their outstanding contributions.

The Black Independent Filmmakers Association has emerged as a vital platform for independent cinematic voices worldwide.
