Udaipur,  A delegation of the Udaipur Marble Association convened at the Marble Chamber office today to formally protest Turkey’s direct support for Pakistan and to demand a halt to marble and granite imports from that country.

Association President Pankaj Gangawat stated that longstanding trade relations with Turkey have benefited numerous local merchants who import Turkish marble and granite. “By siding with our adversary, Pakistan, Turkey has betrayed the trust of Indian traders,” he remarked. He added that recent military and material aid extended by Turkey to Pakistan not only runs counter to India’s interests but also poses a significant threat to regional peace and security.

Gangawat emphasized that imports worth billions of rupees are brought in annually from Turkey, and under current circumstances such trade is tantamount to undermining national sentiment. “We urge the government to impose an immediate embargo on marble trade with Turkey and to consider restrictions on all import–export activities involving that nation,” he appealed. “Furthermore, we condemn all other forms of commerce and tourism with Turkey until they retract their support for Pakistan.”

A collective plea has been addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, urging decisive action to safeguard India’s sovereignty and integrity. “Those who assist Pakistan against India must be uniformly boycotted,” Gangawat declared.

The meeting was attended by former President Bhupendra Singh Rao; Vice-President Rajendra Maur; Secretary Neeraj Sharma; Joint Secretary Narendra Singh Rathore; and Treasurer Kuldeep Jain. Their collective resolution underscored the Association’s readiness to support any government measures aimed at protecting the nation’s interests.
