New Delhi |The Government of India has reappointed Sunil Sindhi as the Chairman of the National Trade Welfare Board, extending his tenure in recognition of his effective leadership. The Board was first established in 2023 by the Modi government to provide a central platform for resolving traders' issues nationwide.
During his term, Sunil Sindhi organized over 322 conferences across various states, directly engaging with traders, listening to their concerns, and forwarding suggestions to the authorities. He held strategic meetings with nine Union Ministries and NITI Aayog, ensuring that traders’ issues were addressed swiftly, reflecting the government's responsiveness and commitment to the business community.
A booklet detailing Sindhi’s work and achievements over the past two years has been released by the Board. It highlights how he successfully built coordination between state and central governments to resolve trade-related concerns efficiently.
Impressed by his alertness, experience, and impactful work, the Government of India has once again entrusted him with the leadership of the Board. Following the announcement, traders' organizations across the country have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated Sunil Sindhi. They believe that under his continued guidance, the relationship between traders and the government will strengthen further, empowering the community to actively contribute to the Vocal for Local initiative and India’s vision of becoming a developed nation.
