Online Fraud Busted, Truck with Coriander Seized


Kota | Acting under the direction of Kota Rural SP Sujit Shankar, a major operation led to the arrest of two accused involved in large-scale fraud. The accused had cloned an online booking ID and deceived both the complainant and a transport company, fleeing with goods worth lakhs. They were tracked over 450 kilometers before being apprehended.

The case pertains to an incident on May 2, 2025, in the Ramganjmandi police station area, where 30,150 kg of coriander, worth ₹27.38 lakh, was to be transported to Guwahati, Assam via Sheetal Transport in truck number RJ-27-GC-5566. However, the truck never reached its destination, and the goods were misappropriated en route.

Following a complaint lodged on May 18 by Shivbhagwan Agrawal of Sanwaliya Trading Company, a registered firm in the Ramganjmandi Krishi Upaj Mandi, an investigation was launched.

The accused, Avneesh Tyagi (44) from Kaland village, Meerut (currently residing in Govindpuram, Ghaziabad) and Kapil Tyagi (34) from Hapur, were arrested by the team led by Ramganjmandi SHO Manoj Singh. The truck used in the crime, bearing number HP-38H-3158, was seized along with 366 bags of coriander.

The successful operation involved Inspector Manoj Singh, ASI Nand Kishore, Constables Sanjay Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, and members of the technical team including ASI Bhupendra Hada, Constables Lakhan Singh, Narendra Singh, Ranveer, and Narendra Chaudhary.

The police have emphasized that efforts will continue to tackle organized fraud and protect the interests of traders and transporters.
