New Delhi: After the multiple rounds of DJ nights and peppy numbers, for a change, the city will host a “night with a difference”.
“Reborn-Ghazal Era Returns”, a night of Ghazals, is the new buzz to hit the capital. Delhites can look forward to enjoy an evening of soft and soulful Ghazals by classical singer Julfiqar A K Sabri remembering many Ghazal Maestros and especially Ghazal Samrat Jagjit Singh.
The Ghazal night “Reborn” to be held on Saturday 30th April at Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road New Delhi, is an initiative of Steelbird Group’s entertainment division. Steelbird Entertainment is into music and video productions and working especially with upcoming talent.
Commenting on this initiative of Steelbird Entertainment, Rajiv Kapur, MD Steelbird Group said, “Listening Julfiqar is actually a blissful moment for any Ghazal lover especially if you are fond of Jagjit Singh.”
Julfiqar is one of those classical singers who live to sing and not singing just to live. He has his own set fan following who is very familiar with his soulful voice.
In the words of Julfiqar Sabri, “I am a fan of Great maestro late Sh Jagjit Singh since I start listening Ghazals and when audience relates me with Jagjit ji its like getting an Oscar.”
Steelbird Entertainment has recently launched his first video by the name of The King of Baritone-Julfiqar Sabri, where a famous Ghazal Bichha Rakhi hain palke has been featured in the video.
Delhi based Julfiqar Sabri has done various shows on national and international levels. Recently he has done a performance in Dubai with Gulam Ali Ji. Zulfikar Ahmed Khan, born 29th April 1963, shows true and amazingly powerful colors of his ustad. Ustad Abdul Aziz, grandson of late Shri Bade Ghulam Ali Khan- one of the main exponest of the Patiala Gharana. And 2nd Ustaad Fareed Ahmed Khan from Kirana Gharana learning to classical music thumri and Ghazal.
