Udaipur, The Night Chaupal organized in Kavita village emerged as an excellent example of participatory governance and public hearing under the leadership of SDM Latika Paliwal. Villagers, administrative officials, and public representatives came together to discuss the village’s key needs and explore concrete solutions.
Sarpanch Kavita and Administrator Lokesh presented major demands of the villagers, including installation of street lights on the highway, improvement in road connectivity, and construction of public toilets and bathing facilities for women. SDM Paliwal assured that these issues would be addressed on a priority basis.
A detailed discussion was also held on animal husbandry. Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Ranjit Jawale (Lakhawali), BVHO Bargaon Dr. Dattatray Chaudhary, and Livestock Inspector Padamsingh informed that the village area has around 2,500 animals. Considering the importance of livestock in the villagers’ livelihood, they recommended establishing a veterinary hospital in the area. SDM Paliwal welcomed the proposal and assured all possible administrative support for the welfare of livestock farmers.
The Night Chaupal strengthened transparent dialogue and collective decision-making at the village level, opening new avenues for the holistic development of Kavita village.
