Udaipur, The 23rd Alumni Meet and Honors Ceremony of College of Agricultural Engineering (CTAE), Udaipur was held on Sunday, emphasizing the pivotal role of agricultural development in national progress. The program began with the unveiling of the statue of Dr. K.N. Nag, Founder Director of CTAE, at the college library.

The event was graced by Dr. R.S. Sodhi, former Managing Director of Amul and a golden jubilee alumnus of CTAE, and Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnatak, Vice-Chancellor of MPUAT. Dr. Sodhi highlighted Dr. K.N. Nag’s invaluable contributions and his lifelong commitment to the holistic development of students.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Sodhi shared his journey, revealing that he received his degree in Agricultural Engineering from CTAE, which shaped his career. He underscored the importance of technology-driven farming, water conservation, renewable energy, and value addition for empowering rural livelihoods. He shared his vision for a “Smart and Sustainable Rural India,” where young engineers drive growth through agri-startups, cooperatives, and digital agriculture. He urged students to bridge technical knowledge with farmers’ needs, contributing to a self-reliant and prosperous agricultural economy.

Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnatak honored alumni completing their Diamond, Golden, and Silver Jubilee years with shawls and mementos, emphasizing that alumni form the “power bank” of any institution and serve as sources of inspiration for current students. He also praised CTAE’s contribution to MPUAT’s high h-index.

In a remarkable initiative, Dr. Shubkaran, founder of Arpan Seva Sansthan, pledged an annual support of ₹1 lakh for underprivileged students through the CTAE Alumni Society on the occasion of their Silver Jubilee.
