Udaipur Girls Clinch Gold in State-Level Cricket Championship

 

Udaipur,  Udaipur’s girls’ cricket team triumphed at the 69th State-Level Under-19 School Cricket Tournament, held in Balotra, Barmer, by defeating Bikaner with a convincing 8-wicket victory in the final match.

According to Team Coach Komal Soni, Bikaner won the toss and opted to bat first. However, facing a disciplined bowling attack from Udaipur, the Bikaner team could only manage 128 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Udaipur’s Yashoda Gameti delivered an exceptional bowling performance, conceding just 5 runs and taking 2 wickets in 3 overs. Dali Gameti, Anita Dangi, and Priyanshi Chaudhary bagged one wicket each, while the remaining players were run out through sharp fielding efforts.

Chasing the target, Udaipur showcased a commanding batting performance. Priyanshi Chaudhary played a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 52 runs, supported by Bhavya Sisodia (22) and Priyanshi Jain (20). The team reached the target comfortably with two overs to spare, sealing a memorable 8-wicket win and the gold medal for Udaipur.

On this remarkable achievement, District Education Officer (Secondary) Lokesh Bharti, Additional District Education Officer Mohanlal Meghwal, and senior coaches Mahendra Pal Singh, Neeraj Batra, Kailash Meena, Bharat Singh, Mahant Bharat Bhushan Joshi, Ganpat Singh Jhala, Tahir Khan, Nimat Menaria, Lakshmi Meena, and Leela Lakshkar extended their hearty congratulations to the victorious Udaipur girls’ team.
