Wildlife Week 2025 :Winners of Various Competitions Felicitated

Udaipur — The 71st Wildlife Week 2025 concluded on Tuesday with a closing ceremony held at the Officer Training Center Auditorium on Rani Road. The event was jointly organized by the Udaipur Forest Department, WWF-India, and the Green People Society, Udaipur.

The ceremony was presided over by Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) S.R. Yadav, while Divisional Chief Conservator of Forests Sunil Chindri graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were Deputy Conservator of Forests (Udaipur-North) Ajay Chittoda, Deputy Conservator of Forests Mukesh Saini, Green People Society President Rahul Bhatnagar, and WWF-India State Coordinator Arun Soni. The welcome address was delivered by Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Udaipur, Yadvendra Singh Chundawat.

Mr. Chundawat informed that a variety of competitions were organized during Wildlife Week, including Rangoli, Painting, and Quiz contests.

In the Rangoli competition, Disha Jain, Divyanshi Joshi, and Honey Pamecha secured first positions; Vanshika Rathore, Unnati Salvi, and Soham Shri stood second; while Chhavi Jain and Divyanshi Chauhan placed third.

In Painting, Mannat Swami, Janak Kumawat, and Kiyana bagged the top spot, followed by Jiya Parikh, Nihar Dembla, and Suyash Vasidhar in second, and Bhavik Jardi, Shubham Swarnkar, and Dharmitha Lohar in third.

In the Junior Quiz category, Vrushti Shekhedkar ranked first, Priyanshu Nayak second, and Devanshi Sanadhya and Priyansh jointly third.

In the Senior category, Atij Hussain, Sahil Soni, and Niramay Upadhyay secured first, second, and third positions respectively.

All winners were awarded certificates, mementos, and books related to wildlife conservation.

Notably, from October 2 to 7, around 1,500 students from various schools participated in Wildlife Week activities. The participants were taken on educational visits to Sajjangarh Sanctuary, Biopark, Bird Park, Baghdara Nature Park, and Eco Tone Park, where experts shared insightful information about wildlife and birds.

The Forest Department also organized a series of creative and awareness-building contests throughout the week. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Conservator of Forests (Sajjangarh) Surabhi Sharma.
