Vidyapeeth Hosts Grand Dandiya Festival Celebration

Udaipur. A grand Dandiya festival was organized at the campus of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth’s affiliated Law College and Girls’ College, where students enthusiastically showcased traditional spirit. The event commenced with Vice Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, along with Dr. Kala Munet, Dr. Aparna Srivastava, Dr. Saroj Garg, and Prof. I.J. Mathur, offering prayers to the Goddess.

Students, along with faculty members, dressed in colorful traditional attire, performed Garba and Dandiya to vibrant Gujarati and Rajasthani folk songs. Outstanding participants were honored by Prof. Sarangdevot with certificates and mementos.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sarangdevot stated that the nine days of Navratri symbolize the attainment of strength and positive energy. He emphasized that Indian culture and traditions are unique in the world and urged the youth to preserve and pass them on to future generations. He added that today, the entire world admires Indian culture.

He further remarked that festivals should be celebrated as occasions of joy, while ensuring that no one’s sentiments are hurt. Navratri is not only a vibrant celebration but also holds deep spiritual significance. The traditional dances of Garba and Dandiya, along with the worship of Goddess in her various forms, symbolize the triumph of good over evil. It is an occasion of joy that promotes unity and spirituality through music, dance, and devotion.
